  1. NS_Text V0.6 -----------------------------------------------------------------

  3. NS_Text is designed to complement Turbo Power's B-Tree Filer and the Borland
  4. functions, procedures, types, constants, and variables by adding text
  5. capabilities in the form of an extendable object. There is nothing new inside 
  6. NS_Text that you can not already accomplish with Turbo Pascal - the difference
  7. is in the way text files and / or devices can be treated as separate entities 
  8. (instances). This relives the programmer of the parameter and error checking 
  9. maintenance - allowing him to concentrate on the functionality of the program.
  10. It also allows him to create persistent objects via collections and streams.

  12. NS_Text.Zip contains:
  13.    * NS_Text.Pas    Contains the 'TTextFile' object
  14.    * TestText.Pas   A very simple example program
  15.    * ReadMe.Txt     This file
  16.    * Documentation:
  17.      * NS_Text.Wri  Windows Write format
  18.      * NS_Text.Doc  Word for Windows format
  19.      * NS_Text.Dot  Word for Windows 5.5" x 8.5" document template
  20.      The documentation use Bitstream typefaces. If you don't have 
  21.      Bitstream Facelift or FontWare on your system - no problem!
  22.      The typefaces will convert to the closest match Windows can 
  23.      provide with its standard typefaces. If you are using Adobe
  24.      Type Manager, the Bitstream typefaces remap to Adobe's Postscript
  25.      typefaces quite nicely.
